So, time for a wee update.

We four creative souls have been working hard behind the scenes to build the framework for this project. We have been trying out sketchbooks with different media (more on that soon), sourcing sketchbooks to send to our pilot participants and creating a process that will work smoothly for everyone (we hope).

We had a wonderful day together yesterday, learning from each other, coming up with ideas for sketchbook content so that we can offer guidance and ideas as the project gets underway. You can look forward to posts (and eventually videos) around cyanotype printing, watercolour, structural art, using acrylics & markers, gelli printing, sketching, collage and mixed media work. We are very excited to share what we love, and to encourage others to do so too. (Guest blogs are always welcome, just drop us an email).

So, if you want to join in our adventure do drop us an email to let us know. Places for the pilot run are almost gone, but we will be launching officially in November and you will be the first to hear all the updated news if you send us an expression of interest.

So, now that we have said hello I’m off to write a little piece about making your own gelli plate for printing, they have become so expensive that I did just that last month and have been exploring the joys of gelli printing since (beware, it’s quite addictive). Gelli prints can be used directly in your journal, or you can create beautiful textured and coloured papers for creating collage or backgrounds.

Till next time
